4.13 ME Firmware Update
ME FW Update allows an end user, such as an IT administrator, to update the ME firmware
without having to reprogram the entire flash device.
The image file that the tool uses for the update is not the image file used to create the
complete SPI firmware image file. A sample firmware image file for updating,
Base_Corporate_ME_UPD.BIN, is located in the kit’s NVM image folder. It only contain the
ME code region and it can not be used to generate whole SPI image with FITC tool.
Please be aware that firmware update takes approximately 1-4 minutes to complete
depending on the flash device on the system.
After FW update a host reset is needed to complete FW update. You can use –FORCERESET
option to do this automatically.

4.13.2 Windows update
Intel ME Firmware Recovery Agent allows end user to update the ME firmware.
