MAKING CONNECTIONS
Downloading Pictures with a USB Cable
Note for Win 98 SE users: You must install the camera driver bundled on the Digital Camera
software installation CD-ROM before connecting the camera to the computer.
Connect the supplied USB interface cable to the computer’s USB port and the camera’s DIGITAL
terminal.
1. You do not need to turn off the computer or camera when making this connection.
2. Please refer to your computer manual for information regarding the location of the USB port.
The LCD monitor turns off when the connection to the computer has been successfully completed.
1. The camera will turn off automatically if the USB cable is disconnected.
2. If this is the first time the camera has been connected to the computer, Windows detects
the camera as an “Unknown device” and automatically completes the required software
installation.
