Filling the water reservoir
In order for theair cooler to be able to cool and humidify theair thewater reservoir must be
filled with cold water in addition to ice or freezer blocks. If thewater reservoir is withdrawn when
theair cooler is switched on, theair cooler will automatically switch off. When thewater reservoir
is replaced, theair cooler must be switched on again. Theair cooler cannot be switched on if
thewater reservoir is not fitted correctly.
1. Switch theair cooler off and unplug it from
thewall socket.
2. Unlock thewater reservoir.
3. Pull out thewater reservoir drawer and fill
it with water and ice or freezer blocks.
Note: Do not fill thereservoir above
themaximum water level mark.
4. Slide thewater reservoir back in and lock it
in place.
Note:
Theair cooler will emit anaudible signal for
10 seconds if thewater level drops too low.
Button sound and warning signal on/off
Hold in thebuttons for setting thehorizontal louvre and vertical louvre oscillation simultaneously
for 3 seconds to switch thesound off. Hold thebutton in again to switch thesound back on again.
Continuous operation
Theair cooler will operate for 15 hours and then switch off automatically. Thecontinuous
operation function can be disabled so that theair cooler operates until it is switched off
manually by holding in thevertical louvre oscillation on/off button and thetimer setting button
simultaneously for 3 seconds. Pressing thebuttons again will enable thefunction again.
In the event of a power cut
Theair cooler is automatically set to standby mode when thepower comes back on after apower cut.
Care and maintenance
• Always unplug themains lead from thewall socket before cleaning thecooler or filling
thewater reservoir.
