Preparation
1. Place thelog splitter on aflat and stable work surface at apractical height.
2. Set thesplitting distance (see below)
3. Connect thepower cable to asocket, preferably via anearth fault breaker. Remember to place thecable
so that it will not damaged when working thelog splitter.
4. Unscrew theair screw (13) 3–4 revolutions, so that anoticeable air current can be felt during use.
How to use
Setting the splitting distance
The log splitter is meant for logs up to alength of 52 cm.
1. Remove thelocking pin on thepiston rod behind thepressure plate.
2. Pull thepressure plate to thesplitter until one of theholes in theinner and outer piston rod align.
3. Replace thelocking pin
4. If thelogs are shorter, use thepiston stroke limiter* (see below) to limit piston rod movement and to increase
theworking operation.
* The piston stroke limiter is adetachable stop which hinders thereturn action of thepiston control.
Only use when logs are short:
1. Press theswitch and operating lever and let thepiston move to its outer position. Release theswitch but
keep ahold of theoperating lever.
2. Place thepin of thepiston stroke limiter in one of theholes in thework bench.
3. Release thepressure lever so that thepiston control (17) is stopped by thepiston stroke limiter (18).
4. Adjust thesplitting distance by changing thelength of thepiston rod using thethree holes.
Note!
• Never use thepiston stroke limiter (19) in front of thepressure plate (2). It must always be behind
thepressure plate (2) or be removed.
• Never use thesplitter without thepressure plate (2) mounted and fixed with supplied locking pin. (20).
