Working with the log splitter
1. Always place theside with theleast amount of knots against thesplitter and always cleave with thegrain.
2. Place thelog so that it is stable. Use thework bench lateral supports.
3. Start themotor by pressing and then holding down theswitch.
4. Start thehydraulics by moving theoperating lever down.
5. The pressure plate on thepiston rod will now press thepiece of wood against thesplitter.
6. Release theoperating lever and switch to complete thesplitting. The return springs now pull thepiston rod back.
Note!
• If splitting does not start within 5 seconds in spite of full pressure: release theoperating lever and switch and
let thepressure plate retract. Then turn thelog 90 degrees or turn it around and try again.
• Close theair screw (13) during transport and when storing themachine as oil can seep out. When storing
themachine with theair screw open for long periods of time, theoil absorbs moisture from
theair which can lead to thehydraulic system rusting inside.
