Working with the log splitter
1. Always place theside with theleast amount of knots against thesplitter and always cleave with thegrain.
2. Place thelog so that it is stable. Use thework bench lateral supports.
3. Start themotor by pressing and then holding down theswitch.
4. Start thehydraulics by moving theoperating lever down.
5. The pressure plate on thepiston rod will now press thepiece of wood against thesplitter.
6. Release theoperating lever and switch to complete thesplitting. The return springs now pull thepiston rod back.
Note!
• If splitting does not start within 5 seconds in spite of full pressure: release theoperating lever and switch and
let thepressure plate retract. Then turn thelog 90 degrees or turn it around and try again.
• Close theair screw (13) during transport and when storing themachine as oil can seep out. When storing
themachine with theair screw open for long periods of time, theoil absorbs moisture from
theair which can lead to thehydraulic system rusting inside.
