Replacing rotor, rotor gaskets and shaft
You do not need to remove the rotor to replace the rotor gaskets. You simply place the new gasket
on the rotor and fix it in place with the three-part expansion ring. You then turn the rotor, which
presses the gasket against the departing plates until only half of the gasket is on the rotor. The
expansion ring then fastens.
The following is standard procedure for replacing rotor gaskets:
• Open door at the front of the cabinet.
• Remove the bolt/nut in front of the gear motor, so the drive belt can be loosened (see the
picture in the “Replacing gear motor” section above).
• Remove the drive belt from the pulley.
• Remove the rotor gaskets.
• Mount new rotor gaskets.
• Tighten the metal clamps holding the rotor gaskets.
You can remove the rotor and mount new gaskets on it, but it is much easier to mount new gaskets
without removing the rotor.
