Why does my CountyLine Water Pump start too frequently?
    • M
      Melinda HernandezAug 13, 2025
If your CountyLine Water Pump starts too frequently, it could be due to several reasons. There may be leaks in the system, so ensure the system is air and water tight. The pressure switch might need adjustment or replacement. The tank could be waterlogged; pre-charge the tanks by adjusting the air pressure to 2 PSI (13.8 kPa) less than the pump cut-in pressure (when there is no water pressure on the system), and replace the bladder if necessary. A leak in the drop pipe could also be the cause, requiring you to replace the pipe above that point. Lastly, the pressure switch might be too far from the tank; move the switch to within one foot (.3m) of the tank.

What causes CountyLine Water Pump fuses to blow when the motor is running?
    • C
      carneymichaelAug 18, 2025
Several factors can cause your CountyLine Water Pump fuses to blow while the motor is running. Low or high voltage can be a culprit; if the voltage variation exceeds ±10%, contact your power company to adjust the voltage. High ambient (atmospheric) temperature can also contribute, so avoid mounting the control box in direct sunlight. Ensure the control box has the correct voltage or horsepower rating; replace it if the numbers do not match. An insufficient wire size can also cause this issue, so install the correct wire size. Lastly, cable splices or motor leads might be grounded, shorted, or open. It is advised not to attempt to disassemble the pump or motor.

What to do if CountyLine Water Pump motor won't start, but fuses are fine?
    • R
      Robert RivasAug 28, 2025
If your CountyLine Water Pump motor won't start but the fuses are not blown, consider these possible causes and solutions: * **No voltage at fuse box:** Consult your power supplier or check your generator. * **No voltage at control box:** Check the connections and rewire from the fuse box to the control box. * **No voltage at pressure switch:** Check the connections, replace the control box, and rewire from the control box to the pressure switch. * **No voltage on the load side of the pressure switch:** Check the connections and replace the pressure switch. * **Bad cable or splices:** Consult a serviceman or licensed electrician. * **Control box incorrectly wired:** Reconnect the control box correctly, referring to the Installation instructions.

Why is my CountyLine Water Pump discharging air or milky water?
    • P
      Patrick MorrisSep 2, 2025
If your CountyLine Water Pump is discharging air or milky water from the faucets, it could be due to gas in the well water. To resolve this, remove the bleeder orifices and plug the tees, ensuring the plugged tees do not leak. If necessary, separate the gas from the air before it enters the pressure tank.

What to do if CountyLine CL30610 fuses blow when the motor starts?
    • K
      Kimberly HillNov 7, 2025
If the fuses blow or the overload protector trips when your CountyLine Water Pump motor starts, several issues could be the cause. You might have the wrong size fuse or time delay fuse installed, so ensure you install the correct one. The wire size could be too small, requiring you to install the correct size wire. A starting capacitor might be defective or blown, in which case you should replace it. The voltage may be too low or too high; if the variation is greater than ±10%, call the power company to adjust the voltage. Also, check if the cable leads are not correctly connected to the control box and reconnect them to match the wiring diagram in the control box cover. A broken wire in the control box could also be the reason; in that case, disconnect the power and repair or replace the ...

How to fix CountyLine Water Pump with little or no water delivered?
    • K
      Kenneth HowellNov 22, 2025
If your CountyLine Water Pump delivers little to no water, several issues could be responsible. The bleeder orifice check valve might be stuck or installed backward (standard tank only); if stuck, free the valve, and if installed backward, reverse it. The water level might be low; lower the pump further into the well (but at least 5’ (1.6m) above the bottom of the well) and throttle the pump discharge until it equals the recovery rate of the well. Low voltage can also be a factor; install a larger wire from the meter to the control box and from the control box to the pump, or have the power company raise the supply voltage if necessary. A plugged intake screen could be the problem; clean or replace it as needed. The check valve at the pump discharge might be stuck; free the check valve. Fi...
