How to troubleshoot CountyLine CL520CT7 Water Pump motor that will not run?
    • S
      Samantha ParsonsAug 5, 2025
If the CountyLine Water Pump motor won't run, first, ensure the disconnect switch is on. If that's not the issue, check the fuse and replace it if blown, or reset the circuit breaker if it has tripped. Also, the starting switch may be defective and require replacement after you disconnect the power. Dirty pressure switch contacts can also be the reason; in that case, disconnect the power and file the contacts with an emery board or nail file. Finally, check and tighten all wiring, referring to the instructions in the Electric section, after disconnecting the power, to avoid electric shock.

What to do if CountyLine CL520CT7 Water Pump motor runs hot?
    • M
      Michael MorrisonAug 17, 2025
If the CountyLine Water Pump motor runs hot and the overload kicks off, it could be due to several reasons. First, the motor might be wired incorrectly; refer to the wiring instructions. Second, the voltage might be too low; check with the power company and install heavier wiring if the wire size is too small, consulting the Wiring Chart. Finally, the pump might be cycling too frequently; consult the section on too frequent cycling.

Why CountyLine Water Pump does not deliver water to full capacity?
    • U
      umatthewsAug 29, 2025
If the CountyLine Water Pump does not deliver water to full capacity, it could be due to several reasons. The water level in the well might be lower than estimated, potentially requiring a new nozzle and venturi combination. Steel piping might be corroded or limed; replace it with plastic pipe where possible, or with new steel pipe. Additionally, the piping might be too small in size; use larger piping.

Why does my CountyLine CL520CT7 Water Pump keep cycling on and off?
    • S
      Steven LeeNov 10, 2025
If your CountyLine Water Pump delivers water but doesn't shut off or cycles too frequently, several issues could be the cause. Begin by checking if any faucets have been left open and close them. Inspect the pressure switch; it may be out of adjustment or have welded contacts, requiring you to disconnect the power to adjust or replace it. A waterlogged standard pressure tank lacking an air cushion can also cause this issue; drain the tank to the air volume control port. Also, check for leaks in the pipes and foot valve, and inspect the suction pipe for air leaks using soapy water to check joints. If the air charge is too low in the pre-charged tank, disconnect the power and open the faucets until all pressure is relieved. Lastly, a clogged venturi, nozzle, or impeller can be the reason; cl...

Why is my CountyLine CL520CT7 running but not pumping water?
    • C
      cheyenne37Nov 22, 2025
If the CountyLine Water Pump motor runs but no water is delivered, consider these possibilities: * If newly installed, the pump may not have picked up prime; re-prime it according to instructions. * The pump may have lost prime; check all connections on the suction line and shaft seal. * The foot valve or strainer could be plugged; clean them. * The ejector or impeller might be plugged; clean them as well. * A check valve or foot valve could be stuck shut; replace them if necessary. * Pipes might be frozen; thaw them, bury them below the frost line, or heat the pit or pump house. * The foot valve and/or strainer may be buried in sand or mud; raise them above the bottom of the water source and clean them. * The water level may be too low for a shallow well setup; if your w...
