Why is my Craftsman 247.203691 engine running erratically?

If your Craftsman Lawn Mower engine runs erratically, it could be due to several reasons. First, check if the choke is activated and deactivate it. Ensure the spark plug wires are securely connected. A blocked fuel line or stale fuel can also cause this issue; replace the fuel line, use fresh gasoline, and replace the fuel filter. The vent in the gas cap might be plugged, so clear it or replace the cap if damaged. Water or dirt in the fuel system can also be a factor; drain the fuel tank and refill with fresh gasoline. Lastly, a dirty air cleaner can cause erratic running, so replace the air cleaner paper element or clean the foam pre-cleaner, if your mower has one.
