PREPARING THE ENGINE
Forenginesstoredover30days:
1. Topreventgum fromforminginfuelsystemoron carburetor
parts,runengineuntilit stopsfromlackof fuel oradda gasoline
additiveto thegas in thetank. If youuse agasadditive,runthe
engineforseveralminutesto circulatethe additivethroughthe
carburetor--afterwhichtheengineandfuel canbe storedupto
24months.
2. Whileengineis stillwarm,changethe oil.
3. Cleanengineof surfacedebris.

• Cleanandlubricatemowerthoroughlyas describedinthe lubrica-
tioninstructions.
• Donot usea pressurewasheror gardenhoseto cleanyour unit.
• Coatmower'scuttingbladewithchassisgreaseto prevent
rusting.
• Referto PREPARINGTHE ENGINEfor correctenginestorage
instructions.
• Storemowerin a dry,cleanarea. Donotstorenextto corrosive
materials,suchasfertilizer.
Whenstoringany typeof powerequipmentina poorlyventilatedor
metalstorageshed,careshouldbetakentorust-prooftheequipment.
Usinga lightoil orsilicone,coatthe equipment,especiallycablesand
all movingpartsof yourlawnmowerbeforestorage.
