polarized plug
has
two
prongs
with
one which
is
wider than the other. A grounding-type plug
has
two
prongs and a third ground pin. The widest prong or the third ground pin are intended
for your safety.
If
the plug provided does not enter your electrical
outlet

an
electrician

order
to
replace the obsolete electrical outlet.
8. Protect the power cord from being walked
on
or pinched particularly at plugs.
