Tools

Spell checker: Slide the switch to the On or Off position to enable or disable the spell checker.

Personal dictionary: Add custom words to your personal dictionary. Tap Add to add a word to the dictionary.

Pointer speed: Set the speed of the pointer for a mouse/track pad.

Text-to-speech output: Manage settings on the text-to-speech function.
Gestures
Quickly open camera
Open the Camera app from any screen by quickly pressing the Power key twice. Slide the switch to the On position to enable.
System navigation
Tap next to Gesture navigation or 3-button navigation to select.

Gesture navigation: Select to use gestures to preform certain actions on your device.

To get Home, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
o
To switch apps, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, hold, then release.
o
To go back, swipe from wither the left or right edge.

3-button navigation: Select to use the navigation buttons at the bottom of your screen to go back, Home, and switch apps.
Date & time
1. From the Home screen, swipe up to access Apps and tap Settings.
2. Tap System > Date & time.

Set time automatically: Tap to automatically use the network-provided time and date provided by a connected Wi-Fi network. Disable
this function to manually enter the date and time.

Set date: Tap to set date manually. This option is available only when the Use network/GPS-provided time function is disabled.
•
Set time: Tap to set time manually. This option is available only when the Use network/GPS-provided time function is disabled.
•
Automatic time zone: Slide the switch to the On position to automatically set the time zone.
•
Select time zone: Manually select your time zone. This option is available only when the Automatic time zone function is disabled.

Use location to set time zone: Slide the switch to the On position to use your device location to set the time zone.
•
Use locale default: Slide the switch to the On position to use the default time format.
•
Use 24-hour format: Slide the switch to the On position to enable the 24-hour time format.
Backup
Your phone’s Backup settings let you back up your phone’s data and settings to Google servers before resetting your phone to the original factory
settings.
1. From the Home screen, swipe up to access Apps and tap Settings.
2. Tap System > Backup.
3. Select Turn on to enable Back up your device with Google One, or select Not now to go back to the previous screen.

Back up automatically: Your phone is backed up when it’s on, locked, and connected to power and Wi-Fi.
•
Store your data: Backups are securely encrypted and uploaded to your Google Account. Some data is also encrypted using your
phone’s screen lock.
•
Manage your backup easily: You can turn off backups or view details in your device settings.
