Sprayer OperationFilters & Tank Agitation - 3000 litre
Foam Marker Filters
(if fi tted)
The foam marker is protected by:
• A 50 mesh fi lter under the cabinet, &
• A 100 mesh fi lter located in the line
before the liquid orifi ce.
These should be cleaned periodically,
depending on cleanliness of operations.
To clean foam marker fi lters:
1 Completely stop all sprayer
functions.
2 Close the tap next to foam marker
fi lter (underneath the Outback
cabinet).
3 Remove the outer fi lter bowl,
remove the fi lter (50 mesh) and
thoroughly clean it before re-
assembling the fi lter.
4 Re-open the tap next to the fi lter.
After cleaning, replace the screen & fi lter bowl. Ensure the agitator valve is open before adding chemical.
Tank Agitation
When chemical is added to the main
tank, the pump and agitator(s) must be
operating at all times to ensure chemical
does not settle in the tank.
Check to see that tank agitation is correctly
adjusted.
If agitation causes too much foaming in
the tank, try closing Off one agitator to
reduce foaming
If chemical settles, through pump break
down or another rea son, start up the
sprayer after the fault has been rectifi ed
and let the mixture in the tank agitate for
a length of time to ensure thorough mixing
of the chemical.
Nozzle Filters
Nozzle fi lters should be cleaned regularly
and when a nozzle spray pattern is
effected by blockage.
To clean the nozzle fi lters:
1 Completely stop all sprayer
functions.
2 Ensure all pressure is removed from
the spray lines.
3 Remove the nozzle cap and nozzle,
and then remove nozzle fi lter.
Thoroughly clean nozzle fi lter (and
nozzle if necessary) before re-fi tting
the nozzle & nozzle cap.
4 Repeat step 3 for each nozzle.
Clean the nozzle fi lters regularly.
Be careful not to damage or deform the mesh
or gasket while cleaning and refi tting the fi lters
and nozzle caps.
NOTE
In some circumstances you may fi nd the nozzle
fi lters are best not used.
If your nozzle fi lters continuously block, check
that your main pressure fi lter is not torn or that
the product you are using is not the cause.
NOTE
Be careful not to damage or deform the mesh or
O-ring while cleaning and refi tting the fi lters.
NOTE
Remove the foam marker fi lter bowl & 50 mesh screen.
