2. Installation
This chapter contains instructions and recommendations for the installation of the Vector Sensor
GPS heading system.
2.1 System Parts List
The following list of standard equipment is included with the Vector Sensor.
• One Vector Sensor receiver (P/N 803-3011-00A)
• One Vector Antenna Array (P/N 804-3019-01A)
• One MBL-3 H-field beacon antenna (P/N 804-2002-04A)
• Two RF coaxial cables - 10 m (P/N 052-0004-000)
• One power Cable - 3 m (P/N 054-0009-000)
• Two RS-232 serial cables - 3 m (P/N 050-0011-022)
• One Vector Sensor Manual (P/N 875-0075-000)
The Antenna Array has two CDA-RTK antennas pre-installed along with two 1-14-UNS-2B
threaded PVC mounting bases.
2.2 Cable Interface
The Vector Sensor power, data, and antenna cable interfaces. The following figure shows the
various connections located on the rear panel of the Vector Sensor Evaluation enclosure. Please
note that the Vector requires connection to primary and secondary GPS antennas. The RF
connection to the MBL-3 beacon antenna is optional, however required if the beacon DGPS
corrections are required and services are available in the region of Vector Sensor usage. SBAS
reception is accomplished through the primary CDA-RTK antenna.
