Flow Diagram - Backwash Step (Position 1)
1. Expands and cleans the resin bed.
2. Pilot valve changes ports to direct water into bottom of resin bed and out the top of tank. Diaphragm valves 2,
5, and 17* are open.
3. Flow to drain is controlled by automatic backwash flow control assembly.
4. The backwash flow control assembly is accurate over a range of 30-100 psi and insures against resin loss.
