Unlock the vehicle
Lock the vehicle
Unlock only the rear lid.
Press the button until all the turn signals
on the vehicle ash briey.
You have 2 minutes to open the rear lid.
Once this time has passed, it will lock
again. In addition, the lamp on the key
ashes.
Control lamp
Alarm button. Only press in the event of
an emergency! When the alarm button is
pressed, the vehicle's sounds and the turn
signals light up for a short time. Press again
to disconnect.
To fold and unfold the key blade, press the but-
ton ›››Fig.42 (arrow).
The vehicle can be locked and unlocked from a
distance using the vehicle key ›››page70.
The vehicle key includes an emitter and bat-
tery. The receiver is in the interior of the ve-
hicle. The range of the vehicle key with re-
mote control and new battery is several metres
around the vehicle.
If it is not possible to open or close the vehicle
using the remote control key, this should be
re-synchronised ›››page66 or the battery
changed ›››page65.
Dierent keys belonging to the vehicle may be
used.
Control lamp on the vehicle key
When a button is pressed briey on the vehicle

once briey, but if pressed for a long period of
time, it will ash several times, for example, in
the convenience opening.
If the vehicle key control lamp does not light up
when the button is pressed, replace the key's
battery ›››page65.
Spare key
To obtain a spare key and other vehicle keys,
the vehicle chassis number is required.
Each new key contains a microchip which must
be coded with the data from the vehicle elec-
tronic immobiliser. A vehicle key will not work
if it does not contain a microchip or the micro-
chip has not been encoded. This is also true
for keys which are specially cut for the vehicle.
The vehicle keys or new spare keys can be
obtained from a specialised CUPRA dealer or
SEAT Oicial Service, a specialised workshop
or an approved key service qualied to create
this kind of key.
New keys or spare keys must be synchronised
before use ›››page66.
