When using a vehicle belt to secure the Base, the
LATCH Connectors MUST BE STORED in the Base. Loose
Connectors could seriously injure vehicle occupants in
the event of a crash.
1. Fully extend the Leveling Foot to access the LATCH
Connector Storage compartments.
2. Slide each connector into its Storage slot until an
audible CLICK is heard.
3. Take the slack out of the strap between the
connectors by gently puling on the LATCH
Strap Tensioning Loop located next to the
connector on the right-hand side.
Only remove enough slack from the LATCH Strap
so it lays at on the bottom of the Base between
the Latch Guides.
4. Position Leveling foot in proper
recline angle for the child.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN, as this will interfere with the
Belt Tensioning Plate while installing the Base with
vehicle belts.
