Why does my Cyclo Vac Vacuum Cleaner not stop?

      Ashley TaylorAug 21, 2025
If your Cyclo Vac Vacuum Cleaner will not stop, ensure that the hose end is properly placed in the vacuum inlet: the tab on the hose should fit into the slots on the inlet, to ensure adequate contacts for the hose switch to function. If the hose is properly placed in the vacuum inlet, and the unit continues running despite the fact that the hose switch is in the “off” position, have the hose checked by a service center. While vacuum is on, unplug low voltage wires from unit. If vacuum stops, there’s a faulty low voltage wire. Contact your installer or authorized service center.

Remove the filters and check the guard screen for blockage. Always ensure filters are properly installed to prevent recurrence. Check that all vacuum inlets not in use are closed. Verify that no object is blocking the exhaust. If the hose is blocked, plug the handle end of the hose into the suction inlet to reverse the suction in the hose. Cover th...

If your Cyclo Vac Vacuum Cleaner will not start, check that the power cord is plugged into a dedicated grounded electrical outlet, according to specifications on pages 13 and 14. Verify the low voltage wires and ensure they are properly inserted into the low voltage inlet, as per instructions on page 15. Try starting the vacuum unit from other inlets in your home to identify if there is a faulty vacuum inlet. Check if the unit circuit breaker is off and press the reset button to reset it. If the unit restarts and automatically shuts off shortly after, contact an authorized service center. Also, check if the in-house circuit breaker is off and reset it in your electrical panel, verifying that your central vacuum unit is connected on a dedicated grounded circuit. A defective on/off hose can ...
