LED Behavior

Before You Start

DSL Provider Setup

Ensure you have your PPPoE username and password from your Internet provider.

Cable Provider Setup

Unplug your modem's power; it may need to remain off for up to five minutes.

Advanced User Setup

For modem/router combos, set to 'bridge' mode or consult your ISP.

Connect Your Router

Attach Antennas

Attach the eight antennas to the router by twisting them on clockwise.

Connect Modem to Router

Use an Ethernet cable to connect the router's Internet port to your modem.

Connect Computer to Router

Use Ethernet or Wi-Fi to connect your computer to the router's LAN port.

Power Up Devices

Plug in the modem power first, wait one minute, then plug in the router power.

Configuration Methods

Web Browser Configuration

Access the router via a web browser by entering http://dlinkrouter.local. or IP address.

QRS Mobile App Configuration

Use the D-Link QRS Mobile app on a mobile device for router setup.

Web Browser Setup Wizard

Select Language and Continue

Choose your preferred language and click Next to start the setup wizard.

Configure Internet Connection

Select your Internet connection type (DHCP, PPPoE, or Static IP).

Enter PPPoE Credentials

DSL users must enter their PPPoE username and password provided by the ISP.

Wi-Fi Network Setup

Set Static IP Information

For Static IP, enter IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, and DNS details from ISP.

Create Wi-Fi Network Name and Password

Define the Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) and password for 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.

Finalize Router Installation

Complete the setup wizard and note down your router configuration settings.

QRS Mobile Setup

Download QRS Mobile App

Scan QR codes or search the app store to download the QRS Mobile app.

Connect to Router Wirelessly

Connect your mobile device to the router's Wi-Fi network using the configuration card.

Start Mobile Configuration

Launch the QRS Mobile app and tap 'Start' to follow on-screen setup instructions.

Save New Wi-Fi Details

After setup, save the new Wi-Fi network name and password on your companion card.

Troubleshooting

Connecting Wireless Devices

Select the assigned Wi-Fi network name or use WPS to connect devices.

Changing Wireless Settings

Access router settings via web browser to modify Wi-Fi network name and password.

Forgot Router Password

Reset the router using the reset button to restore factory default settings.
