POE COMMANDS
DES-3028P and the DES-3052P support Power over Ethernet (PoE) as defined by the IEEE 802.3af specification. Ports 1-24/1-48
supply 48 VDC power to PDs over Category 5 or Category 3 UTP Ethernet cables. The DES-3028P and the DES-3052P follow
the standard PSE pinout Alternative A, whereby power is sent out over pins 1, 2, 3 and 6. The DES-3028P and the DES-3052P
works with all D-Link 802.3af capable devices.
The DES-3028P and the DES-3052P include the following PoE features:
The auto-discovery feature recognizes the connection of a PD (Powered Device) and automatically sends power to it.
The auto-disable feature will occur under two conditions: first, if the total power consumption exceeds the system power
limit; and second, if the per port power consumption exceeds the per port power limit.
The active circuit protection feature automatically disables the port if there is a short. Other ports will remain active.
PDs receive power according to the following classification:

1 0.44 to 3.84W
2 3.84 to 6.49W
3 6.49 to 12.95W
PSE provides power according to the following classification:

NOTE: The maximum PoE power limit for the DES-3028P is 185W and the maximum
PoE power limit for the DES-3052P is 370W.
