Section 6 - Troubleshooting
• Access the web management. Open your web browser and enter the IP address* of your D-Link router in the address bar.
This should open the login page for your web management.
* Note: The default IP address of your DIR-880 is http://192.168.0.1. If you connect the DIR-880L to your existing router in Bridge
Mode, it will be assigned a new IP address based on your router/network’s DHCP settings. You will have to access your other router's
DHCP table to see what IP address was assigned to the DIR-880L. (Refer to the manufacturer's user manual if it is not a D-Link device.)
If you are using a D-Link router, follow these instructions to nd the IP address that was assigned:
Using the router’s Web-based conguration utility, go to Setup > Network Settings. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, below
the heading that says Number of Dynamic DHCP Clients, to view the list of connected devices. Refer to the MAC address that is
printed on the label that is attached to the bottom of the DIR-880L to nd the corresponding IP address.
• If you still cannot access the conguration, unplug the power to the router for 10 seconds and plug back in. Wait about 30
seconds and try accessing the conguration. If you have multiple computers, try connecting using a dierent computer.
2. What can I do if I forgot my password?
If you forgot your password, you must reset your router. Unfortunately, this process will
change all your settings back to factory default.
To reset the router, locate the reset button (hole) on the back of the unit. With the router
powered on, use an unfolded paper clip to press and hold the button down for about
10 seconds. Release the button and the router will go through its reboot process. Wait
about 30 seconds to access the router.
