MAINTENANCE 6-7
CHANGE
1. Remove the drain plug and allow the
oil to drain completely. Use caution as
oil may be hot.
2. Clean, replace and properly tighten the
oil drain plug.
3. Add the prescribed amount of ap-
proved engine oil through the oil fill
port.

CAUTION
Do not mix different types of en-
gine oil. To use a different vis-
cosity oil, drain completely and
replace with new oil.
CHECKING AND CHANGING TRANSMISSION OIL

(1) Transmission Oil Inlet
(2) Transmission Oil Dipstick
(A) Oil Level is Acceptable Within This Range
CHECK
1. Remove the dipstick and wipe clean.
Fully insert the dipstick; remove and
verify that the oil level is between the
upper and lower limit.
2. If the oil amount is below the lower
limit, oil should be added to the correct
level. Do not overfill.

CHECK
1. Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean.
Insert the dipstick again and remove
to read the oil level.
2. Add oil if the oil level is below the lower
limit “L”. The oil level is acceptable
when it is between “L” and “H”. Do not
overfill.
CAUTION
Always check the oil level before
starting the engine. Wait at least
5 minutes after the engine has
stopped to get an accurate oil level
reading.
