The lowering speed of the 3-point hitch
can be controlled by adjusting the 3-point
lowering speed knob.
CAUTION
To avoid personal injury:
Set the hitch lowering speed to 2
seconds or more. A fast lower-
ing speed can cause damage or
personal injury.

3-POINT HITCH LOWERING SPEEDMIXED CONTROL
In the draft control mode; when draft
decreases, the implement automatically
lowers to increase draft. To avoid hav-
ing the implement lowered too far, set
the position control lever at the lowest
working depth desired. Move the draft
control lever to the point where the imple-
ment is at the desired depth. This pre-
vents the implement from going too deep
and causing loss of traction and ground
speed.

1. The draft control is used with imple-
ments that create a draft force such
as plows and other tillage tools that
are attached to the 3-point hitch.
2. In the floating range, the implement will
be completely lowered.
3. In the draft control range, the hydrau-
lic system will control the depth of the
implement in order to maintain a con-
stant load and to minimize wheel slip.
4. If the draft force is higher than the
resistance of the implement, the imple-
ment will be lifted up until the forces
are equalized. If it is lower than the
resistance of the implement, the imple-
ment will be restored to its original
position.
5. By selecting a shallow tool depth, the
implement can be lifted up by a smaller
draft resistance.
