Function Description:

The Daewoo 16L Dehumidifier is designed to extract moisture from the air in household environments, helping to maintain a comfortable humidity level and prevent issues associated with excessive moisture, such as mold and mildew. It offers various operating modes including Sunny, Rainy, and Continuous Drying, allowing users to select the most appropriate setting for their needs. The device can operate within a humidity range of 20% to 95% and features a digital display to show the current humidity level. It is equipped with a water tank for collected moisture, with an option for continuous drainage via a hose. The unit also includes a timer function for scheduled operation and a child lock for safety.

Usage Features:

  • Control Panel: Features an On/Off Button, Mode Button, Fan Speed/Child Lock Button, Humidity Button, Sleep Button, and Timer Button.
  • Digital Display (20): Shows the actual or set humidity level, timer settings, and error codes.
  • Humidity Indicator (2): A light that changes color to indicate the current relative humidity level:
    • Continuous Blue: Humidity below 60%.
    • Flashing Blue: Defrosting in progress.
    • Continuous Green: Humidity between 60% and 80%.
    • Continuous Red: Humidity above 80%.
    • Flashing Red: Water Tank is almost full.
  • Modes of Operation:
    • Sunny Mode: Defaults to 60% humidity, adjustable from 20-95%.
    • Rainy Mode: Automatically maintains 40% humidity, adjustable from 20-95%.
    • Continuous/Drying Mode: Runs continuously at high fan speed with a set humidity of 20%, suitable for drying clothes. Humidity and fan speed are not adjustable in this mode.

  • Child Lock (16): Activates by pressing and holding the Fan Speed/Child Lock button for 5 seconds, disabling other control buttons.
  • Sleep Mode (14): Dims lights on the control panel and automatically switches to low fan speed for quiet operation. Fan speed is not adjustable in this mode.
  • Timer (15): Can be set from 1 to 24 hours in 1-hour increments to automatically turn the unit on or off.
  • Water Tank Full Alarm (18): The unit buzzes and the indicator illuminates when the 2L water tank is full, requiring emptying.
  • Continuous Drainage: Allows for direct drainage of collected water via a supplied drain hose (9) connected to the drain outlet (6), bypassing the need to manually empty the water tank. The hose must be positioned lower than the drain outlet for proper function.
  • Portability: Equipped with castors (4) for easy movement.

Maintenance Features:

  • Water Tank (7) Cleaning: The water tank should be cleaned with warm soapy water. Abrasive chemicals should not be used. It is important not to remove the water tank magnets and plastic rivets, as this will affect the full tank detection.
  • Body Cleaning: The unit's body can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Air Filter (8) Cleaning: The air filter should be removed by pulling it from the top and lifting it away. Dust and lint can be removed using a vacuum cleaner. If heavily soiled, it can be washed in warm soapy water with a mild detergent and must be thoroughly dried before reinstallation. The dehumidifier should not be operated without the filter fitted.
  • Storage: For long periods of non-use, the water tank should be emptied and wiped, the filter cleaned, and the appliance stored in a cool, dry environment.
  • Refrigerant System: The refrigerant system should not be perforated. Repairs must be performed by qualified personnel with appropriate certification for handling refrigerants.
  • Restart Delay: Avoid restarting the dehumidifier within 3 minutes of turning it off to prevent damage to the compressor.
  • Transportation: The dehumidifier must always be stored and transported upright to prevent irreparable damage to the compressor. If in doubt, wait at least 24 hours before restarting.
