Make sure to adjust the valve clearance after
tightening cylinder head bolts.

¥ Cooling Fan Belt Adjustment
1) Check cooling fan belt for cracking and damage.
2) Check the drive belt deflection by applying a force
of 10kg midway between the water pump pulley (2)
and the alternator pulley (3).
3) Adjust the belt tension by loosening the alternator
mounting bolt and the alternator adjusting bolt and
pivoting the alternator.
Be sure to retighten the bolts after adjusting the
belt tension.
Cooling Fan Belt Deflection 8.0 ~ 12.0 mm
¥ Inspection
Visualy inspect the thermostat.
When inspect,if excessive wear or damage is
discovered, replace the thermostat.
¥ measure the valve lift.
