Derating for ambient temperature
The ambient temperature (T
AMB,MAX
) is the
maximum temperature allowed. The aver-
age (T
AMB,AVG
) over 24 hours must be at
least 5 °C lower in accordance with VDE
160 5.2.1.1.
If the VLT
®
frequency converter is operated
at temperatures above 40 °C (45 °C in
CT), then a derating of the continuous out-
put current is necessary.
