Avoid loose wiring and possible shorts. Tighten all screws on AC circuit terminals
surely.
It is a good practice to maintain a 90° angle between wires connected to the AC
circuit terminals and wires connected to the control terminals.
Use shielded cables for Control Circuit wiring,
The drive can be operated with up to 100 m of unshielded cable. Max. 30 m at
factyory set switch frequency. Up to 3 m of shielded motor cable can be used on thr
VLT Micro.
If an EMI filter is required, it should be located close to the drive. Reducing carrier
frequency can also be a way to reduce EMI noise, however audible noise from the
motor will increase.
An L-Filter can be added to the U.V.W. side of AC Motor Drives if needed. Do not use
a Capacitor, or L-C Filter (Inductance-Capacitance), or R-C Filter (Resistance-
Capacitance).
A “Redidual current devices type B” can be used. To avoid mailfunctioning of the
motor and drive, sensitivity of the current sensor should not be less than 200 mA with
a response time not less than 0.1 second.
