3. Starting
Important!
The warm air heater may only be switched off by
means of the room thermostat or the burner
switch. Switching the unit off by means of an
external breaker might cause overheating and
thus damage to the burner chamber and heat
exchanger.
If the temperature for some reason rises above
80°C inside the unit the Limit thermostat will stop
the burner till the temperature has fallen below
80°C.
If the temperature inside the unit rises above
100°C the safety temperature limiter will switch
off all voltage to the unit so that burner and fan are
inactivated. When the unit has been cooled down
it will not start automatically. Re-starting will
follow by pressing the reset-button (1) on the
safety temperature limiter (SBT) (see fig. 2). DV M
20 has two SBT thermostats each with a reset
press-button (1/2) - (see fig. 2).
If one of the safety thermostats has switched off
the unit, see paragraph 5 “Fault Finding”.
3.1 Winter Operation
A. The burner breaker (1) is put in position “I” (fig. 10)
- ON.
- If a room thermostat is connected to the models DV
20/30 the burner will be controlled automatically by
this thermostat, i.e. the burner will start automatically
when the room temperature is lower than set on the
thermostat, and it will stop again when the tem-
perature has reached the set value.
B. The fan breaker (2) is set on either “Auto” or “Man”.
- If the fan breaker is set on “Auto” the fan is controlled
automatically by the combi thermostat in the unit. I.e.
when them temperature inside the unit has reached
50°C the fan will start automatically, and the unit has
been cooled down to about 30°C (burner stop) the fan
will stop automatically.
