Dehumidification DX Unit: The type and method of dehumidification, based on
the selected mode:
None – No dehumidification mode (default setting)
1C In Limit – One compressor may run as long as return air temperature
does not drop 2°F below the set point minus the dead band.
Dehumidification will resume when the temperature rises to the set point.
1C No Limit – One compressor may run regardless of temperature.
2C In Limit – Two compressors may run if return air temperature does not
drop 2°F below the set point minus the dead band. Dehumidification will
resume when the temperature rises back to the set point.
2C No Limit – Two compressors may run regardless of temperature drop.
4C In Limit – Four compressors may run if return air temperature does not
drop 2°F below the set point minus the dead band. Dehumidification will
resume when the temperature rises back to the set point.
4C No Limit – Four compressors may run regardless of temperature drop.
Reheat Limit: Choice to limit how many compressors can run in dehum mode
when electric reheat turns on (not HGRH or Hot Water reheat). Choices are:
1 Comp (default selection) Only one compressor can run (setting is “2
Comps” for 4 Compressor units.
No Limit: All compressors can run with electric heat on. Note: requires
verification within 10 seconds that the unit has enough power to support this
choice or the selection will be cancelled.
Operation: The compressors are staged on for temperature or humidity control,
whichever has the greater demand. Dehumidification can be set to control either
Relative Humidity or Dewpoint. Please refer to the following section that covers
your factory setting and the type of compressor installed.
On/Off Compressors Controlling Relative Humidity:
When humidity is increasing:
Stage 1 ON at Setpoint + Deadband
Stage 2 ON at Setpoint + Deadband + 1%
Stage 3 ON at Setpoint + Deadband + 2%
Stage 4 ON at Setpoint + Deadband + 3%
When humidity is decreasing:
Stage 4 OFF at Setpoint + 3%
Stage 3 OFF at Setpoint + 2%
Stage 2 OFF at Setpoint + 1%
