Operation of Reheat
The dap4 can be configured to use the following reheat modes:
None - No reheat installed, except SCR if enabled.
One - A single stage of heat (default on minidap4).
1-Elect - A single stage of reheat used only in dehumidification mode.
HW Valve - (Not shown on IRDX Model). A discharge air temperature sensor
must be installed to select this mode. A hot water valve is modulated using the
SCR algorithm on Y4.
Two - (Not shown on IRDX Model or MiniDAP). Two stages of heat.
Three - (Not shown on IRDX Model or MiniDAP). Three stages of heat (default
on large dap4).
3-Elect - (Not shown on IRDX Model or MiniDAP). Three stages of reheat used
only in dehumidification mode.
HGRH – Operates during dehumidification only. The Hot Gas valve (analog
output Y1) is modulated by a PID algorithm to maintain temperature setpoint.
For On/Off HGRH valves, HT1 output (DO9) turns on when temperature drops
below setpoint minus the Stage-To-Stage setting. Enable SCR for
supplemental electric reheat.
HGRH+1 – Like HGRH mode but has an additional electric heat output HT3
(DO11) that turns on when temperature drops below setpoint minus heat dead
band (when dehumidifying or not).
Dual HGRH – Like HGRH mode but uses a separate HGRH coil for C2 on
analog output Y2. For On/Off HGRH valves, HT1 output (DO9) is HGRH for C1
and HT3 (DO11) is for HGRH for C2. When the respective compressor is
running, the outputs turn on when temperature drops below setpoint minus the
Stage-To-Stage setting.
Enable Rotation: (Only displayed when there is more than one stage of electric
reheat). Default setting is rotation enabled.
Lead Reheat: Indicates the current lead reheat stage. You can also manually
change which one is the lead.
Delay After DX: (Only displayed if DX is enabled). This delay prevents the heat
function from running right after a compressor has finished cooling. Range of
adjustment is 0 to 100 mins, with a default of 10 mins.
