Single Variable Speed Compressor (controlling return or discharge temp):
C1 On: The variable compressor turns on when the temperature rises above the
Setpoint + Deadband. As temperature continues to rise, the compressor will run
faster to maintain the temperature setpoint.
Note if the Energy Saver mode is running: The compressor turns on when the
temperature rises above the Setpoint + Deadband + Stage to Stage setting +
1.0°F. It turns off when the return air temperature drops below the Setpoint.
C1 Off: The variable compressor turns off when temperature drops below the
Setpoint minus the C1 Offset setting (default of 1.0°F) for the duration of the C1 Off
Delay (default of 60 seconds). However, the compressor must finish the minimum
run time setting before it can turn off.
Modulation of the variable compressor to control temperature will be by a PID
algorithm (defaulted to not use derivative action). The tuning parameters for this
algorithm are in the Factory Setting menu.
Note: Due to oil management functions of the VFD, the compressor speed may
periodically vary from the temperature modulation requirement.
