Technical Specifications

Overview

The DPR-145 is a precision temperature protection relay designed for dry-type or resin-filled MV transformers, offering robust protection against electromagnetic disturbances.

Function Description:

The unit features four PT100 temperature inputs. Three inputs are dedicated to transformer protection, while the fourth can be used for core temperature protection or ambient temperature monitoring. It provides independently adjustable alarm and trip levels for all four sensor inputs. The device continuously monitors for abnormal conditions and programmable alarm limits are provided for every measured value. If a fault occurs, the corresponding alarm LED (TRIP, FAULT, or ALARM) illuminates, an alarm code is displayed, and the alarm relay operates. Even after an alarm clears, the LED remains on, though the relay output deactivates. Pressing the MODE button clears the alarm display and resumes normal operation. The unit also includes a FAN output for cooler fan control, a TRIP relay for high temperature failures, an ALARM relay for pre-alarms, and a FAULT indicator for sensor or internal failures. A cable compensation function prevents long cables from impairing measurement precision.

Safety Notice:

  • Installation should only be performed by qualified specialists.
  • The unit must be checked for cracks or damage from transportation before installation.
  • Do not open the unit; there are no serviceable parts inside, and opening voids the warranty.
  • A fast-type fuse with a maximum rating of 6A must be connected to the power supply input, in close proximity to the unit.
  • All power must be disconnected before working on the equipment.
  • Do not touch terminals when the unit is connected to the network.
  • All electrical parameters applied to the device must be within the specified range in the user manual.
  • Clean the device only with a dry cloth; do not use solvents.
  • Verify correct terminal connections before applying power.
  • The unit is designed for front panel mounting only.
  • Avoid installing the unit near high electromagnetic noise-emitting devices (contactors, high current busbars, switchmode power supplies) to prevent operational issues, measurement inaccuracies, and data communication quality degradation.
  • Always remove plug connectors when inserting wires with a screwdriver.
  • Use cables of appropriate temperature range and adequate section (at least 0.75mm² / AWG18).
  • For RS-485 connections, use appropriate shielded twisted wire cable for optimal communication quality.
  • The difference between Alarm and Trip temperatures for any channel cannot be less than 5°C, and Trip temperature must always be higher than Alarm temperature.
  • Similarly, the difference between Fan Turn ON and Turn OFF parameters cannot be less than 5°C, and Fan Turn ON must always be higher than Fan Turn OFF.
