gasket
surfaces

use new
gaskets

pump assembly

pump
mstall bolts
and
lighten
bolts
securely
alter
natmg
from side to
side so
as
not to
warp
the
hOUSlOg
and cause
leakage
3 Fill the
coolmg system
and
check
for leaks
at pump

Install
the
fan
pulley
spacer
and
fan blade and
lighten attachmg
bolts
securely
Install the belt and
adJust
tensIOn
5 Start the
englOe
and
check for
leaks
agam

Stop
the
engme
and
mstall the
fan
shroud on
models
so
equipped

To Remove
Dram the
coolant
mto a clean
con tamer
2 Loosen
the
bolts
attachmg
the fan
shroud to
the radiator and
remove
the shroud
3 Loosen the
bolts
secunng
the fan
blade to
torque couphng
and
re
move the
fan blade
4 Loosen the dnve
belt
by loosemng
the bolt
secunng
the alternator
to
the bracket
5 Remove
the bolts
secunng
water
pump assembly
to
engme
front
cover
and
remove the water
pump
assembly
and
gasket
from
engme
front cover
