ServiceADVISOR™isadiagnostictoolusedbyJohn
Deeredealerstoperformdiagnosticsandupdatesto
machinesettingsandsoftware.Dealerscanaccess
diagnostictroublecodesanddiagnosticaddresses,
createreadingsandrecordings,andprogramcontrollers.
Thistechnologyconsistsofsoftwareandhardware.
Techniciansattendaminimumof8hrs.oftrainingto
becomecertifiedinutilizingthistool.
SARisafunctionofServiceADVISOR™thatallowsthe
dealertechniciantoconnecttoanSAR-enabledmachine
usingtheJDLink™networktoremotelyaccessdiagnostic
troublecodeinformation,recorddiagnosticdata,and
programcontrollers.
Similartosoftware(payload)updatesinthecomputer
industry,SARenablesJohnDeeretodeliverupdated
softwareremotelyusingonboardJDLink™hardware.
RemoteprogramminggivesJohnDeeretheabilityto
updatesoftwaretoenhancemachineperformance.This
capabilitycanbeusedtoreprogrammostmachine
controllers.Theuseractivelyparticipateswiththedealer
inthisprocessbydownloadingandinstallingthesoftware
update.
NOTE:Somemachinecontrollersmaynotbecompatible
forSARreprogramming.
