To check the change, issue:
~ # difconfig read eth0

Changing hostname
By default the hostname consists of the serial number of the PCM6·1.
To change it create a file named:
hostname
in
/data/sysconf
containing the new name.

To change password create a connection to the PCM:
Use "passwd" to change the "root" password:
~ # passwd
Changing password for root
New password: <your new password>
Retype password: <your new password>
