Installing the power button
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the power button and provides a visual representation of the installation
procedure.
Steps
1. Place the power button on the slot on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Replace the two screws (M2x2) that secure the power button to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3. Align the screw holes on the power-button shield with the screw holes on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
4. Replace the two screws (M2x2) that secure the power-button shield to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Next steps
1. Install the system board.
2. Install the left fan.
3. Install the right fan.
4. Install the memory module.
5. Install the wireless card.
6. Install the solid-state drive 2.
7. Install the solid-state drive 1.
8. Install the rear cover
9. Install the battery.
