Steps
1. Align the screw hole on the I/O board with the screw hole on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Replace the two screws (M2x4) that secure the I/O board to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3. Connect the I/O-board cable to the I/O board and close the latch to secure the cable.
4. Connect the fingerprint-reader cable to the I/O-board and close the latch to secure the cable.

Removing the heat sink
Prerequisites

CAUTION:
For maximum cooling of the processor, do not touch the heat transfer areas on the heat sink. The oils in
your skin can reduce the heat transfer capability of the thermal grease.
CAUTION: The heat sink may become hot during normal operation. Allow sufficient time for the heat sink to cool
before you touch it.
2. Remove the base cover.
3. Remove the rear cover.
4. Remove the processor fan.
5. Remove the graphics-card fan.
