Clearing CMOS Settings

Prerequisites
1 Remove the computer cover.
2 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 5 in “Removing the drive cage”.
Procedure
1 Locate the CMOS jumper (CMCL R2) on the system board.
For more information on the location of the CMOS jumper, see “System-
Board Components”.
2 Remove the jumper plug from the password jumper (PSWD1) and place it
on the CMOS jumper.

3 CMOS jumper (CMCL R2)
3 Follow the procedure from step 3 to step 6 in “Replacing the drive cage”.
4 Replace the computer cover.
5 Turn on your computer.
The CMOS checksum error will be displayed.
