Removing the base cover

Procedure
1. Loosen the three captive screws that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Remove the 6 screws (M2x5) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3. Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly, starting from the top-left corner of the computer
base.
4. Lift the base cover off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
