Coin Cell
Removing the coin cell
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
a) microSD card
b) base cover
c) battery

CAUTION: Backup the data before removing the coin cell. Removal of coin cell will resets the BIOS and may cause No
Boot, No POST or potential loss of data or lockout.
Disconnect the battery cable from its connector on the system board [1].
4. Lift and remove the coin cell from the system [2].
NOTE:
A strong adhesive is used on the coin cell; a bit of force is needed to peel up the battery from the palmrest.
Installing the coin cell
1. Place the coin cell battery into the system [1].
2. Connect the coin cell battery cable to the connector on the system board [2].
