Installing the slim optical-drive
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the slim optical-drive and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
1. Optical drive caddy
2. Optical drive unit.
3. Insert and slide in the optical drive into the optical drive caddy.
4. Press the Optical drive unit until it clicks in place.
Next steps
1. Install the front bezel.
2. Install the side cover.
3. Follow the procedure in after working inside your computer.
