Removing the system fans
1 Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2 Remove the base cover.
3 Remove the I/O-board interposers.
4 To remove the system fans:
a Remove the coin-cell battery cable from the routing guides on the system fans [1].
b Disconnect the system fan cable from the system board [2].
c Remove the four screws (M2x3) that secure the system fans to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly [3].
d Lift the system fans along with their cable, o the system board [4].
