UNPACKING

1. Remove the miter box and all loose items from the
carton. IMPORTANT: DO NOT LIFT THE MITER BOX BY
THE SWITCH HANDLE OR TABLE CONTROL HANDLE
AS THIS MAY CAUSE MISALIGNMENT. ALWAYS LIFT
THE MACHINE BY THE BASE.
2. Fig. 2, illustrates the miter box after it has been re-
moved from the carton. Note that the machine is shipped
with the cuttinghead (A) locked in the down position and
the table control arm (B) rotated to the 45 degree right
miter position.

MOVING CUTTINGHEAD
TO THE UP POSITION
1. Pull out cuttinghead lockpin (A) Fig. 3, and move
the cuttinghead (B) to the up position.
2. Fig. 4, illustrates the lockpin (A) pulled out and the
cuttinghead (B) in the up position.
