Preparation for playback
Preparing for CD-ROM/CD-R/CD-RW
playback
•Prepare to play tracks from a CD-ROM/CD-R/CD-RW.
•For details on the files that can be played on this unit, see page 4.
NOTE
This section explains the operating procedures for CD-ROM/CD-R/
CD-RW discs that have been finalized as data CDs. For CDs that
have been finalized as music CDs, see “Preparing for CD playback”
(vpage20).

Press CD to switch the source to CD.

Insert a CD into the disc loading slot.
•The folder names and track names on the disc are shown in
the display.
•Files are in the selected state.

Turn SEL. to select the folder that contains the track
you want to play.

Press SEL.
The folder names or track names within the folder are shown
in the display.

Turn SEL. to select the track you want to play.
•Press BACK to return to the previous folder.

Press SEL.
The cue standby mode is set at the start of the selected tracks.
n Ejecting CDs
Press DISC 5.
The CD is ejected from the disc loading slot.
NOTE
Be sure the CD is paused before ejecting. If DISC 5 is pressed during
CD playback, the CD will not be ejected.
n If the CD cannot be ejected
If the CD is not ejected due to a malfunction in the unit even when
DISC 5 is pressed, it can be ejected using other buttons.
Hold down SHIFT, and press CD.
The CD is ejected from the disc loading slot.
