If the room humidity is lower than the set humidity, this is normal, and the dehumidifier will start once the room humidity increases. Also, the compressor might be in a 3-minute delay start protection mode, so wait for it to complete. Lastly, check if the water tank is full, indicated by a red light, or if it's not correctly positioned; empty it and reposition it properly.
