Defective air tank Air tank must be replaced. Do not repair theleak.
WARNING: Risk of bursting. Do not drill into, weld or
otherwise modify air tank or it will weaken. The air tank can
rupture orexplode.

Leaking seals Contact a
DeWALT
factory service center or a
DeWALT
authorized servicecenter.

Defective safety valve Operate safety valve manually by pulling on ring. If valve still
leaks, it must bereplaced.

Regulator is not adjusted correctly for accessory being used It is normal for some pressure drop to occur when an
accessory is used, adjust the regulator as instructed in
Regulator under Features if pressure drop isexcessive.
NOTE: Adjust the regulated pressure under ow conditions
while accessory is beingused.

Prolonged excessive use of air Decrease amount of airusage.

Compressor is not large enough for accessory Check the accessory air requirement. If it is higher than the
SCFM or pressure supplied by your air compressor, a larger
compressor is needed to operateaccessory.

Hole in air hose Replace airhose.

Check valve restricted Remove, clean orreplace.

Air leaks Tightenttings.

Regulator is damaged Replace.

Unit operating in damp or humid conditions Move unit to a dry well ventilated area

Restricted air intake lter Clean or replace air intake lter

Pump oil is low Add same type of oil in crankcase to pump. See
