- Electrical Installation: A dedicated, properly fused 15 Amp circuit (120 V) is recommended. The unit can be hardwired or connected via an optional power cord accessory (PLFXSPLUG, sold separately). Ground fault protection is required where mandated by electrical code.
- Heater Safety: The heater includes a manual limit cut-out switch that will turn the unit off if it overheats. It can be reset by disconnecting power for 5 minutes. The heater can also be permanently disabled by removing an electronic jumper on the main control board, or temporarily disabled via hidden touch controls.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity: The fireplace is compatible with the Flame Connect app for mobile devices, requiring the unit to be within range of a Wi-Fi network.
Usage Features:
- Installation Flexibility: Can be fully recessed into a 2x4 framed wall or wall-mounted using the provided bracket.
- Optimized Viewing Angle: Recommended bottom mounting height between 20" (51 cm) and 40" (102 cm) from the ground.
- Safety Clearances: Minimum 24" (61 cm) from the ceiling and 5" (13 cm) from the ground. Combustible materials should be kept at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the fireplace.
- Bathroom Installation: If installed in a bathroom, it must be protected by a GFCI receptacle or circuit and installed to prevent water entry.

Maintenance Features:
- Remote Control Battery Replacement: Uses one 3 Volt (CR2032 or CR2025) battery. Battery should be recycled properly.
