6. Enter
./executeUpgradePackage.sh localhost <filename> <store>.
As shown in the example output, substitute dcinema.dlb for <filename> and
MainStore for <store> in the package. The system unpacks the .dlb file and
automatically reboots.
7. After the unit reboots and is up and running, open an SSH connection again as
administrator and verify the success of the update, as described in Section 3.16.3.
3.16.3 Verifying the Success of an Upgrade
Check the versions of all components in Show Manager by selecting Theatre
Devices
/Screen Server or CAT745.
You can also do this using the logs (the
administrator login has read-only access to
/
status/log via remote access) or the getAllParameters.sh script (the administrator
login can also access this remotely in the
scripts directory). Enter ./getAllParameters.sh
<ip address>
to determine the internal state of the software.
For the DSS220/Show Manager, export the logs and check the
upgrade_script.log file in the
DSS220
devel log.
For the CAT745 (Media Block), check the
/status/log/upgrade_app.log file, or export the logs
and check it in the DSS220
devel log.
3.16.4 Other Upgrading Information and Available Actions
The DSS220 remembers any software upgrade .kdm it sees, so if the system already has the
.kdm
you need, you can skip the .kdm file install process.
The DSS220 installs any software upgrade
.kdm file from a connected removable storage
device. This means you can install
.kdm files by simply placing them on a USB flash drive,
inserting it, and removing it once the system scans the device
Note: The system passes the information displayed in the UUID and Filename fields to
the execute and delete commands.
