A.1 Introduction
The Dolby
®
DSL100 and DSS220 run several applications and utilities. Following is a
description of each of their respective functions.
A.1.1 DSL100
The DSL100 runs three main applications:
• DSL100 (content management)
• Show Manager Server
• Show Manager Client (UI)
Each of these writes log entries to files as well as to one of the virtual consoles available to
the user:
• <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <F5> DSL100 console
• <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <F6> Show Manager Server console
• <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <F7> Show Manager Client console
• <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <F8> Show Manager Client graphical user interface (GUI) -
primary console
A.1.2 DSS220
The DSS220 runs the same applications whether it is networked with a DSL100 or used as
a stand-alone unit:
• DSS220 (content management, streaming)
• Show Manager Server
• Show Manager Client (GUI)
Each of these writes log entries to files as well as to one of the virtual consoles available to
the user:
• <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <F5> DSS220 console
• <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <F6> Show Manager Server console
