3.17 Upgrading DSL100 and Show Manager Software
Periodic updates to the DSL100 and Show Manager software are available at
dolbysecure.com/cinematech. Existing content and any Show Manager configurations remain
intact. This update uses the same disc image as the DSS220 (described in Section 3.16.2).
To update the DSL100 and Show Manager software:
1. Obtain the upgrade disc image from
dolbysecure.com/cinematech.
2. Burn the disc image to a CD.
3. Insert the upgrade CD into the unit’s CD/DVD-ROM drive.
4. Power cycle the DSL100 to reboot the unit.
The drive activity LED blinks intermittently, and the Show Library temperature LED
on the front panel flashes in green while the system automatically performs the
upgrade.
If a monitor is connected to the Show Library, messages appear confirming the
upgrade process. When the upgrade is completed (after approximately ten minutes),
the temperature LED stops flashing and turns solid green.
5. Power cycle the DSL100 to reboot the unit.
6. Remove the upgrade CD.
3.18 Upgrading the DSL100 and Show Manager Remotely
This is similar to the DSS220 procedure in Section 3.16.2, but there is no .kdm file required
for the DSL100.
Caution: Do not interrupt the upgrade process by trying to remove the CD or
disconnecting the AC mains power.
